Support Our Church's Restoration
Nestled in the heart of the historic Village of Greenport, Sts. Anargyroi, Taxiarchis & Gerasimos stands as a beacon of faith, culture, and heritage. Designed by the esteemed North Fork architect Orange H. Cleaves and built in 1835, our church holds the distinction of being the oldest church in Greenport still in its original location. For generations, it has served as a spiritual home, a gathering place for community, and a treasured landmark in the historic district.
However, time and the elements have taken their toll.
The exterior structure of our beloved church is in critical need of rehabilitation. Years of weathering and age have compromised the building’s integrity, and we now face essential repairs to preserve its beauty, safety, and sanctity. As faithful stewards of this historic house of worship, we must come together to ensure its preservation—not only for ourselves but for future generations who will find light, peace, and tradition within its walls.
We humbly ask for your support in this vital fundraising effort. Whether you are a long-time parishioner, a friend of the church, or someone who cherishes the cultural and architectural history of Greenport, your contribution will make a lasting impact. No gift is too small, and every act of generosity brings us closer to our goal of safeguarding this irreplaceable part of our heritage.
Let us honor the legacy of those who came before us by committing ourselves to the future of this sacred space. Together, with faith and unity, we can restore and strengthen our beloved church for the generations yet to come.
